Our live talk show hosted by CBC Radio’s Gregor Craigie and featuring artists from the upcoming show, along with experts from the community, has been designed to provide insight into each Mainstage production.
Panelists include Actor and Musical Director Anton Lipovetsky, Co-creator and Director Michael Shamata, and Rebecca Halliday from UVic’s Department of English..
Each event is held the Saturday before Opening, is free to attend, live streamed on Facebook, and is available as a podcast on our website.

Biography
Rebecca Halliday is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Professional Communication Adviser in the Department of English at the University of Victoria. She relocated to Victoria from Toronto last year, after teaching for five years in the Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University. She was raised on the Canadian prairies as a lover of theatre, music and fashion and has spent her careers in arts and culture and in academia considering how audiences interact with creative and artistic content and how media can be used to form intimate experiences while also fostering consumer desire. She holds a PhD in Communication and Culture from York University and is the author of the book The Fashion Show Goes Live: Exclusive and Mediatized Performance.
